History & Significance of Valentine’s Week 🕰️💌

While Valentine’s Week is a modern celebration, Valentine’s Day traces its origins back to ancient Rome. The festival Lupercalia, celebrated in mid-February, was associated with fertility, love, and devotion.

In the 3rd century AD, Saint Valentine, a Roman priest, secretly conducted weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry. He also gifted flowers—tulips, lilies, and red roses—to couples as a symbol of love. However, he was imprisoned and executed on February 14, 269 AD, for defying the emperor’s orders. Before his death, he wrote a note signed "From Your Valentine," inspiring the romantic traditions we cherish today.

Since then, February 14 has been celebrated as a day of love, affection, and heartfelt connections, honoring both Saint Valentine’s sacrifice and the spirit of romance.

This Valentine’s Week, make every day count by expressing love, gratitude, and happiness to those who matter most! 💖✨
